Who we are

Builder Tax Strategies ("we", "us") runs Builder Tax Strategies, a research tool that estimates tax studies for builders and developers and prepares workpapers for their CPAs. These terms are an agreement between us and you, the person or company using the site.

What the service is, and is not

Our estimates and studies are research and workpapers for your CPA. They are not tax advice, not a tax return and not a legal opinion. Your CPA decides every position on your return and files it.

We make no promise about any tax result. Our fees are fixed by scope and never depend on how much tax you save.

Your account

You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else used it.

A company owner controls who joins the company account, which CPA firms can see its studies, and whether our support team may view the account.

Paid studies

When you buy a study you accept the engagement letter shown at checkout. If these terms and the engagement letter disagree about a paid study, the engagement letter wins.

Refunds follow our refund policy (linked in the footer). No refund depends on what the IRS, a state or your CPA decides.

Your data

You keep ownership of what you upload. You let us use it only to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy and, for tax return information, as federal law (26 U.S.C. 7216) allows. Any other use or disclosure needs your separate signed consent first.

Acceptable use

You must follow the acceptable use policy. We may suspend an account that breaks it or puts other customers' data at risk.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We may change features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect; the new version applies from its effective date.

Disclaimers and limits

The free estimate is provided as is.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time by writing to support. We keep records we must keep (for example the review log of a released study) as the privacy policy describes, then delete them.
